Benefit Concert

Support Girls, Support the World

 A benefit concert by the

Northern California Peace Corps Association (NorCal PCA).

Concert Information:

When: Saturday, October 5, 2013

Where: Bottom of the Hill, 1233 17th St, San Francisco, CA 94107

Time: Doors open at 12:00pm, show starts at 12:30pm.

Where will the money go?

This year, a split of all proceeds from the concert will benefit both the local non-profit , Bay Area Girls Rock Camp, a camp that teaches girls’ empowerment through music and NorCal PCA’s grant program.

Here’s an example of what funding can do to support Bay Area Girls Rock Camp:

$25 buys five packs of guitar strings
$50 buys one day’s worth of healthy snacks for campers
$100 buys one practice amp
$250 buys earplugs for all our summer campers
$400 buys a drum set for girls to pound on
$5,220 pays our office rent for one year

Since 1981, NorCal has provided support for domestic and international projects with funds raised at conferences and other RPCV gatherings.

NorCal’s Grants Program provides funds for community development projects all around our planet. While there is no minimum-maximum size, most grants average from $500-$2000 depending on the amount requested and funds available.

Please check out more information about the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCVs) involved in the benefit concert and about  the Bay Area Girls Rock Camp.
